ANOTHER PHD SAYS CO2 NOT THE PROBLEM

Dr. Michael R. Fox, a science analyst for the Grassroots Institute of Hawaii, and a former university chemistry professor, says categorically that carbon dioxide CANNOT be the cause of the recent warming trend our globe is experiencing. A sample:
The climate forces which have led to the estimated 0.6C degree temperature increase over the past 100 years or more (according to the International Panel on Climate Change) have been assumed to be man-made CO2 emissions from advanced nations including the U.S. We know this can’t be true for several reasons.

The first is that water vapor provides 95 percent of the total of the greenhouse gases, not CO2. The total of the CO2 represents less than 3 percent of the total. The second is that of the total atmospheric CO2 inventory, the manmade fraction is less than 3 percent of the CO2 total and therefore far less than 1 percent of the total greenhouse gas inventories. Third, studies of the recent climate variations are finding, for example, (See article by J. Oestermans, Science, p. 375, April 29, 2005) that glaciers have been receding since 1750 or so, well before any significant man-made CO2 emissions occurred.

The mid 1700s were at the very depths of the Little Ice Age, which we have learned was the coldest climate over the last 5000 years. Obviously, other warming forces were at work before humans had anything to do with it.
Dr. Fox makes the case that solar activity has had far more to do with the warming and cooling our planet has experienced over 600 times before.

Many states have passed legislation which effectively make carbon dioxide a toxin, so this is getting serious. The environmental movement has been summarily hijacked, I believe, by a movement whose agenda has nothing to do with green, and everything to do with the color red. Capitalism can be brought to its knees by this hoax, and it will be if those of us who see what is happening don't fight back. The mainstream media is anti-capitalist, and is not likely to print an article like Dr. Fox's. They still want you to believe that the science is settled on this matter, but it is most certainly not. WHY THE IRAQ WAR MAKES US SAFER AT HOME

Senior U.S. intelligence officials tell ABC News new intelligence from Afghanistan suggests a small al Qaeda cell is on its way to the United States, or may already be here.

Sometimes I just want to scream at the mainstream media. They seem to exist for two reasons: first, to shill for liberal causes in any way they can, and secondly, to scare the bejesus out of everyone, because fear excites, and thus, sells. This new scare conveniently does both because it not only alarms, but it fits the "al-Qaida is much stronger now" (since George Bush attacked Iraq) template.

Does anyone really doubt that the assets to perpetrate a major debacle on American soil HAVEN'T been in place within our borders since 9-11-01? If the ABC report is true, why now? Why wait five full years to mobilize another attack?

I am not in the camp that believes that the reason we haven't had another terrorist attack on our soil since the first one, is that somehow our preventive efforts have broken up or pre-empted all the planned attacks. No, our enemy has maintained its capability to do us great harm for the entire five year period. There are too many football games, concerts, and malls that could have been bombed with or without willing martyrs.......if.......our enemy.......only had the will.

Am I saying that somehow our actions post 9-11 have somehow had an effect on the willingness of our enemy to strike us again? Yep.

Think about it from the perspective of the enemy camp for a minute...let's try to imagine what's in their heads....."we jihadis massacre thousands in the heart of the Great Satan, and we knew there would be a reaction. We knew they would come to Afghanistan, but there, we would cut them and make them bleed, and they would run as they had before from Beirut, Mogadishu, etc. We never imagined we would scare them so much that they would go take out Saddam, and then, shock and awe, ATTEMPT TO ESTABLISH A DEMOCRACY IN OUR MIDST!"

Wars are fought on both strategic and psychological battlefields, and the all important psychological one is holding sway in favor of the good guys, in my opinion.

The jihad hasn't returned to American soil because Bush's aggressive actions have kept them on the defensive. They worry what he would do if they struck us again at home, and for this reason our land has been off limits for terror attacks. The enemy doesn't WANT to stick its hand in the hornet's nest again, at least not while Bush is in the White House. They are waiting all right...waiting for Bush to exit. There may be an event perpetrated by some stupid, un-aligned cadre of muslims, and we should all be vigilant, but there will be no major strike from al-Qaida this summer for the same reason there hasn't been one for the last five years.

THOUGHTS ON THE LONDON NIGHT CLUB BOMBING

What's interesting to me about the London nightclub bombing attempt is that it was not a suicide bombing, it was planned as a remote detonation. Apparently the detonator, a cellphone, was shut off by an alert bobbie prior to the arrival of the bomb squad.

Al-Qaida? Al-Qaida doesn't do remote detonations. NONE (count 'em) of the events that involve al-Qaida have lacked the very powerful fear-inducing suicide element. The Madrid bombings were thought to be al-Qaida directed but the remote detonations turned out to have been perpetrated by a rag-tag group of Moroccans.

So, what we have here then, is an attempted massacre, via remote detonation. Has the jihad run out of willing martyrs? Are there no more heavenly virgins to parcel out?

Or are we winning?

Why is no one willing to die for the cause? And rest assured no one was willing or this would not have been a remote detonation. Can it be that the jihad is now viewed by the minions as a losing cause? I believe so. Please note that the jihad attacked America, not because of an abundance of hatred, but for a profound lack of respect. Respect is far easier to restore than it would be to quell the hatred. We may be safer than we think. Perhaps our willingness to stand for over four years and shed blood in Iraq has something to do with giving us the upper hand on the all-important psychological battlefield. How else to explain the 5 year dearth of attacks on American soil since 9-11? I'm sorry, our people have done a wonderful job of prevention, but it is apparent now that the jihadis just don't want to hit the Great Satan again. Respect, through consequences and fear of more consequences, may have been restored.

It should be both indicative and instructive that our enemy more and more is displaying an inability to deploy its most potent weapon. Bin-Laden has recognized from the beginning the power of the suicide/homicide weapon. A remote detonation actually demonstrates a lack of resolve, and thus, abject vincibility.

In this war, there will be no formal surrender, no white flag, no indication that one side or the other has capitulated. We will only know as events like the London attempted night-club bombing unfold, and this one just reeks of capitulation, to me.

GORE III PLUCKED FROM JAIL IN.......MASERATI?

The media wants you to know, apparently, that Al Gore III was driving a PRIUS when picked up by the police. Old man Gore may be hypocritical with the energy sieve that is his house in Nashville, but his kids are walkin' the walk.

Right?

Well, no. Sis just picked the 3rd up from jail in her 400 HP Maserati. It does look to be green in COLOR though!

Story here.
